Carbondale, IL – May 3, 2018 – SIU Credit Union is proud to announce the awarding of five scholarships to deserving students pursuing higher education degrees. The scholarship presentations were made at our branches in Carbondale and Metropolis. Each received a $1,000 scholarship for the 2018-19 school year. The 2018 scholarship winners, along with their institutions and fields of study, are noted below.
Cade Burgess of Metropolis will graduate from Massac County High School in 2018. He plans to attend Murray State University and to become a Physician Assistant.
Taylor Jones graduates from Carterville High School in 2018 and plans to attend John A. Logan College where she will start her Bachelors in Nursing.
Liam Lopez is a 2018 graduate of Carbondale Community High School. He plans to attend the University of Wisconsin to study Engineering.
Kristin Payne of Marion will graduate from Crab Orchard High School in 2018. She plans to attend the University of Southern Indiana to study Business Administration.
Maxemillion Wyatt is a 2018 graduate of Marion High School. He plans to attend John A. Logan College to study Pre-Law.
